Jobs I'm Interested In

I'd like to be a lawyer because I'm a little fond of the law. I think that being a lawyer is exciting and most of my family says that I should become a lawyer , so I think I'll give it a shot .

I'd like to be a video game designer. It's been my dream since I first played my first game . I also think that I've got some great ideas.

I'd like to become a photographer because I love video taping and taking pictures of others .

Renzulli !!!!!

Isaiah is a seventh grade student who has special interests and abilities in school. He described his grades as below average in math, average in science, above average in reading, and below average in social studies. He seems to have several areas of interest. His primary interest appears to be in technology, as he seems to like activities that involve technology and computers, multimedia equipment, and communication.

Isaiah's second area of interest appears to be in fine arts. He seems to like color, texture, and creating products, by drawing, painting, or participating in set and costume design, or graphic layouts. He may also be interested in photography.

Isaiah's third area of interest appears to be in video/photography, as he seems to enjoy photography, making a movie, or creating a video.

Isaiah also has specific preferred instructional styles. Learning or instructional styles are the ways students like to learn and the strategies parents and teachers use to help them learn. Isaiah has very clearly defined learning preferences. His preferred instructional style is through simulations that help him to learn content and skills through role-playing people or events. Isaiah also likes acting, or pretending to be a character, and may like to study history by participating in simulations. For example, he may want to role-play Thomas Jefferson in the signing of the Declaration of Independence or Eleanor Roosevelt during World War II. His second choice of learning style is independent study in a topic of choice. Although he does like working independently, Isaiah may be interested in sharing some responsibilities for this project with a small group of other interested students. It may be necessary for his teachers or other adults to help him with this independent work, as the final work may result in an advanced product, such as an experiment, a video, a service, a technology product such as a powerpoint, or an oral presentation. Isaiah also enjoys peer tutoring that happens when a student or friend who knows a good deal about something helps or works with him to really understand the topic or material being studied in school.

Isaiah also has a preferred product style. That is, he has certain kinds of products that he likes to complete. His first product choice is artistic as he likes to draw, paint, or sculpt, and may also enjoy choosing colors and working with design or texture. His second choice of product style is audio-visual/display. He enjoys organizing attractive arrangements of objects, and/or likes to work on displaying information on boards or posters. He also may enjoy organizing materials and designing diagrams to visually display information. Isaiah's third choice of product style is oral, as he enjoys speaking and discussing things. He may also like debates or speeches, or talking about things in his class.

As Isaiah has a chance to consider some of his choices and think about what he really enjoys doing, it is our hope that these opportunities will enable him to fully develop his interests through the variety of exploratory activities in the Renzulli Learning System database. When he takes a virtual field trip to a museum, interviews a favorite author on the web, or explores an historical site on-line, he will be learning to further explore his interests and learning styles. These kinds of exploratory activities can introduce Isaiah to new ideas and experiences and let him explore many possible interests.

Monster

The names that we call each other sometimes is somewhat harsh but still its only a joke. When things are taken to another level then things get suriose . I do often see people getting teased and I get teased and they get teased and we all tease each other. Its like the circle of life . I often tease people and people often tease me as long we're playing I'm ok with it.

Petrocelli called Steve a monster because she thinks that he was part of the murder .

Figerative Laguage Game Favorite and Just Plane Old Stupid

http://www.quia.com/rr/115166.html?AP_rand=1979483594
The best game that I've played in class is From Rags To Riches . The game is based on the hit money reality series Millionaire . Your objective in the game to get the most questions you can and reach 1mill.Your options are either a metaphor , simile , onomatopoeia , and hyperbole . This game is real fun if you to have a easy and fun review of Figurative Language.

The worst game to play for me is the soccer game. It's real stupid. You can be the judge of that though.http://reviewgamezone.com/games/supertaker/?871&title=Figurative%20Language

My poem

I know an old Geezer who's age 2
Who can ride in the bag with flue
I don't know if I'll say
I'll be home for the play
and I'll watch my desert at the zoo.

Imagery

His Imaginary Girl

His imaginary girl would look fine like a bouquet of flowers
His imaginary girl would smell like a barrel of perfume
His girl would feel like a never ending pillow made of angel feathers
His girl sound like a beautiful Siren when she sings
And when you see his girl you'll say DAG!
SHE'S A PERFECT IMAGINARY GIRLFRIEND.

Jim Crow poem

In the old days whites treated us like dogs
But they were the dogs
They beat our mothers like a punching bag.
but in the end we rule like kings some day.

My Bull

My bull is white the silver fish in the river,

My bull is the shimmering crane bird on the riverbank,

My bull is the white in fresh milk!

His roar is thunder to the Turkish cannon on the steep shore.

My bull is the dark in the rain cloud in a storm.

My bull is the difference between summer and winter.

Half of him is dark like the storm cloud

Half of him is light like the sunshine.

His back is the shining the morning star.

His brow is red as the back of a hornbill.

His forehead is a flag, calling the people from a distance.

He resembles the rainbow.

I will water him at the river,

With my spear I shall drive my enemies.

Let them water their herds at the well;

The river belongs to me and my bull.

Drink, my bull, form the river; I am here to guard you with my spear.

Me In 1960s

Every day is the same for us NIGGERS . That is what the whites call us in the density of their souls. That is what my mom tells me . She says that the whites are dangerous and that they will hang you. She says even if we aren't slaves we still are treated like rats and that we are crap.

Every day I'm always pasteurised by the bypassing white drivers . They would either call me bastard , a loser , or a nigger. Sometimes I wish that I weren't black . My friends tell me that the whites are jealous because we dance so much better than they do. I tells them that there right and just breeze it off . Us blacks should stick together to stay strong. Well thats my normal life.

Merry-Go-Round (Colored Child at Carnival)

This is a blog about a poem that Langston Hughes created. Hughes writes about several social and political issues. His poems are based on segregation and the Jim Crow
law.Hughes was born 2/1/1902 and Died when he was 65 on 5/12/1967.

Hughes had made a poem named Marry go Round. Marry go Round is poem that explains the differences between a bus , a train , and a Marry go round . A kid talks to the conductor of the Marry go Round about how there is no separation between the two races. Both black and white can ride on the ride together. The is a nice poem and will make a motive for the all the races to get along . Heres the poem:
Where is the Jim Crow section
On this merry-go-round,
Mister, cause I want to ride?
Down South where I come from
White and colored
Can't sit side by side.
Down South on the train
There's a Jim Crow car.
On the bus we're put in the back--
But there ain't no back
To a merry-go-round!
Where's the horse
For a kid that's black?

How do we compare and analyze sampling methods?

I would like to survey the amount of black bears that likes salmon. I would survey 50 black bears.
I would record the record by the reaction they have toward the salmon.

Random sample: I would have the zoo keeper randomly select 50 black bears and feed them salmon.
Convenience sample: I would go to the nearest zoo and survey 50 bears.
Biased sample: I will sample the black bears that looks like they would love some salmon.
